Clear sources. Honest preparation.

Our sources and a little context.

WattlePrep is an unofficial study resource. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Australian Government or Department of Home Affairs. Practice questions are independently written, not actual citizenship test questions.

The source material

The study summaries and original practice questions are adapted from the four testable parts of Australian Citizenship: Our Common Bond, published by the Department of Home Affairs. The current booklet is available on the official resource page.

What we have changed

We have condensed and reorganised source text into readable summaries, created original four-option questions and explanations, and added interactive learning tools. These questions are independently written and are not a reproduction of actual test questions. All illustrations and visual branding on this site are independent of the government.

The test rules

We checked the Department’s citizenship test information and the official booklet on 4 October 2026. A standard test has 20 multiple-choice questions, lasts 45 minutes, and requires at least 15 correct answers overall plus all five Australian values answers correct. Values questions are drawn from Part 4.

WattlePrep applies these rules to full mock tests. Ten-question topic quizzes and flashcards are learning tools and do not reproduce the complete official test. The readiness score is a study indicator, not a prediction or guarantee.

Always keep the official booklet close

The official material is free. Home Affairs does not endorse external preparation products, and buying one is not necessary to prepare for or pass the test. Use these summaries alongside the full source, and follow official guidance for eligibility, appointment arrangements, retakes and application decisions.

Content maintenance

The question bank can be expanded and corrected by authorised editors. Each completed attempt stores its original questions, answers and explanations so later edits do not change your historical review.
